Borussia Dortmund supporters Bed For Away Fans campaign turns its second anniversary after the UEFA Champions League match between BVB and AS Monaco was terribly affected by the bus attack suffered by the home team that day, Borussia Dortmund.
Borussia Dortmund supporters came to the aid of stranded AS Monaco fans by offering accommodation once the match was rescheduled.
The bus attack left former BVB defender Marc Bartra in hospital with a fractured wrist. As a result of the game postponed BVB supporters helped French visitors by sending out a message on social media using the hashtag #bedforawayfans.

That extraordinary gesture brought up plenty depicting fans of the two clubs together at various locations sharing food and beer.
Moreover, Borussia Dortmund’s chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke paid tribute to the way in which the Dortmund supporters acquitted themselves. “I have to express a huge compliment to our fans, who have dealt with it very well, objectively, reasonably and solidly,” he said to the Guardian.
Not only the spectators were brilliant off the pitch. BVB Special One Football Club fans in the stadium showed their class.
As the terrible news spreaded out and the quarter-final second leg had to be suspended, a Twitter user let the world know that these German fans are truly special. A bunch of values united altogether showed by Borussia Dortmund fans.
