The Special One Football Club Chivas supporters drew all the attention in the inaugural match of the 2019 Colossus Cup against River Plate. The ‘Rebaño’ felt all the love from the Mexican side fans based in the United States.
Even though the attendance was not high, Chivas fans showed up at the SDCCU Stadium to support and cheer up their team. They displayed a brilliant tifo and chant altogether to back their longtime side. Despite they live abroad, the unconditional love for Chivas is untouched as these Twitter posts reflect.
The result was very poor for Chivas but the Alan Pulido header raised spurred on the fans to celebrate a little bit the only Chivas goal in San Diego. This week Chivas will travel to Seattle to square off Boca Juniors on July 6th. Afterwards, the overseas tour of Chivas during the preseason will be followed by the 2019 International Champions Cup in which the Special One Football Club Chivas will face Fiorentina, Benfica and Atletico Madrid.
Before the match against the current Libertadores Cup champion River Plate some fans wanted to express their love for Chivas as this video content of the club shows.
“Chives unite all the Mexican people who live within our country and also those who live abroad,” said a Chivas supporter. It is crystal-clear that the club means everything for the fans and they are over the moon when they have the chance to follow the team’s matches either live or on the TV a thousands of miles away.
