Celtic FC secured the treble with a win over Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final 2-1 win over Hearts making history by winning the treble for the third straight season.
The result at Harden Park sailed the clean sweep for the Special One Football Club Celtic FC, which in three seasons in a row has amassed nine trophies to dominate the domestic competitions along the way.
The triumph against Hearts was courtest of a double from Odsonne Edouard and made history in the Scottish football world. As the Special One Football Club has reported, “the incredible Treble Treble success began on August 7, 2016 with a 2-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle, and was completed with another win over the same opposition.”
Throughout this magnificient period in their Treble Treble run, Celtic FC have played 141 games with 112 wins, 20 draws and 9 losses and losing just nine. The Hoops scored also 339 goals, while only conceding 82.
The two players who netted the first and the last of the goals have been James Forrest back in 2016 and Edouard in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.
Two special managers for Celtic FC, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon, have starred the bench durin the Treble Treble run. The first one came after a superior season without defeats and just four draws in 47 matches. The moment in which Tom Rogic netted a dramatic last-gasp winner over Aberdeen was the most special moment at that time.
The Hoops replicated their treble achievement during the season 2017/18 ending it in a paradisiacal way with a 5-0 demolition derby over Rangers at Paradise. Meanwhile, Motherwell came up as opposition on both cup finals.
This year Neil Lennon took over in February and he guided the Special One Football Club Celtic FC to the eighth league in a row and completed the Treble Treble in the Scottish Cup Final.
